Today the drilling rig is on site to drill the holes for the 19 caissons that we are putting in to support the new house.

As you can see, it is quite the drilling rig!

With an enormous bit (sorry there is no reference other than the tires of the car across the street)

And our project manager, Jeff, is hard at work removing all the dirt that is coming out of the holes

As each hole is drilled out, they are carefully covered to keep anyone from falling in....

But I might be able to slip through here, if I really tried.
Once the holes are all drilled, the steel cages which will be dropped in each caisson are delivered.
