The electrical work is starting and framing continues.......

We walked into the new shell of our house today to find little blue boxes everywhere!  Apparently, we are going to have a lot of outlets and light switches as demonstrated by all the electrical boxes we see today.

Some electrical boxes are bigger than others as seen by this grey box that will contain a bank of light switches (with dimmers)..

The electrician is also responsible for the bathroom fan assemblies; an important element to keep our house free of mold and smelling nice!

While the electrician is just getting started, the framers have been working their way back down from the roof in their last pass through the house.  As I showed on September 3rd, they are framing in around the massive steel supports of the house to create attachment points for the livingroom windows and that work has continued to progress.

Also, the monolith wall has been partial plyed which makes it more impressive than last time.  The photographs really did not do the wall justice in the last entry, but maybe now you can get a feel of its weight in the house.

Now that the house is almost all framed and we can really see what our views will be, I have been taking time to just enjoy those views each time I visit the house.  Looking through the hole that will hold the full length windows in the master bedroom, we have a clear, unobstructed view of Parma Park and beyond.

Further, today the NFG plywood has disappeared and been replaced with a non-NFG piece.  We are striving for a fully non-NFG house!
