Yesterday, the decks were preped with seam sealant and lath.  Today, they have the first layer of waterproofing membrane.  It is still setting so we can't walk on it but I took some photographs from the doorway.  Here is the main deck.

I think it looks like an infinity pool, but it's not....

The deck off the master bedroom is also coated.  This deck now too looks like an infinity pool.....with a slight edge, used to contain the coating on the deck until it has set completely.

The waterproofing not only covers the surface of the deck, but extends up the edges so we will have continuous waterproofing and no leaks!!

At the kitchen sink, we have added some more steel - because we weren't sure if there was enough in the house yet.  Well, actually, this steel was always planned.  It is the steel frame that will support the bay window at the kitchen sink.

In the photograph, only part of the total frame is shown and it doesn't include the crossed bars (that is part of the scaffolding).

I also took a close up of the welding of the frame because,whenever there is new steel, I have to include a picture of the welding!
