There was more tidying up of the framing on Friday so nothing that makes a really exciting photo. Shimmy the framer has finally finished up the main roof above the stairs though so we can see what the living room will look like.

From the roof the house is starting to look smaller and smaller. It is the same size on the inside though so there is obviously some sort of trick being played on us. Nelle thinks that I watched too many episodes of Dr. Who as a kid.

Shimmy has also started to construct the top of the wall that divides the living room and master bedroom. As this will eventually form the chimney for the fire place it is higher than the rest of the roof.

We have been told that we are about two weeks away from having windows, so tonight I expect to see more framing around the steel in preparation for that. It looks like we will soon be saying farewell to Shimmy and getting a new friend in the form of a window installer.
