The contractor is extremely conscientious about covering the floor as soon as it is laid to protect it.  Therefore, I have to sneak photographs of small sections of the floor as it is lain quickly before it is covered up.

Most recently, the flooring installers have fit the floor into the half round in the living room that is created by the stairway.

A closer view gives a better feeling for the rich color in the floor.

The installers are now working on the upstairs.  They started with the landing at the top of the stairs.  This is another fun spot for them to install flooring because here they had to join the flooring with two curving edges!  We don't want them to get bored!

The underside of the stairs also gave the drywall installers a challenge as he not only had to drywall to the two curved edges but also had to drywall the curved edges themselves.

Both the drywall and floor installers are doing a great job making it look like the stairs actually are supposed to be there!
