The house has been unveiled

The scaffolding has been removed so the house is completely exposed!  Upon driving up to the house, we get a full view of the east side of the house where we can see the butterfly roof and the cool roof over the garage....

Moving around the front of the house, we see the sunken front garden with the walk up to the front door (not yet installed) and many of the art glass windows.

Another view of the front entranceway with the art glass windows

The main front wall.  Behind this wall are the study (upstairs) and the guest suite (downstairs).  In this photograph we can also see the infamous pond, currently covered in plywood so no one falls in!!

And of course the rotunda, now completely finished.  The rotunda is to tall to fit in one frame so we have a lower section and an upper section, but as this will house the amazing sweeping staircase, it is worth two photos.

And around the back of the house, we can finally see the full wall of windows that is the living room wall

Inside the house, there has been a lot of progress in the flooring.  The radiant floor heating pipe has been installed in almost all rooms now.  Starting on the main floor, the radiant floor is finished in the kitchen

An up close shot shows the pipe more clearly

The dining room floor is complete

as is the hall in front of the guest suite

The bathrooms also have heated floors, but they are done slightly differently.  Instead of the pipe being laid in grooves cut out of plywood, the pipe is stapled to the waterproof membrane and then alter wil be covered in concrete.  The pipes have been installed in the guest bathroom

Speaking of the guest bathroom, they are going to start tiling in here soon.  In preparation, the tilers have drawn out the pattern to which the tiles will be lain, for both the wall and the floor

Upstairs, the radiant heating has been installed in the master bedroom and the coil is available for installation in the master bathroom

But the master bathroom cannot have the radiant flooring installed until it passes a water test.  We did one of these before, but we made them change the curb for the shower glass so they have to retest to make sure the waterproof pan will not leak.  So they have filled the bathroom with about an inch of water and will let it sit for a day

On the other side of the house, the study cabinet installation continues.  They are close here, but I think the cabinet company forgot to send two of the upper cabinets so this is as far as the contractor can go at this time....

And as we can see, the radiant floor has not been installed here yet....I am getting a little ahead of myself!
