First off, I know I made up the word "constructionally".  I just want to be more like Bush.....

Anyway....

We now have more forms up for the stem and retaining walls and the mid grade beams.  An overview of the site shows the forms for the stem walls which will make up the mechanical room (center of photo) and the upper grade beams with the rebar cages installed (bottom of photo).

When we zoom in on the mechanical room, we can see the two sides of the form created by walls of 2X12s.  The stem walls will be poured between these forms.

Looking into the forms, we find yet more rebar!

On the other side of the house, the mid grade beams now have their forms up as well.  Because the mid grade beams are above grade, they have to have forms constructed around the rebar cages before the concrete can be poured.  The forms are again built from 2X12s.

This next photograph is of the grade beams which form the foundation of the front entryway.

The stair area also has its forms up for the stem walls.  Here are views from the backside of the stair, the frontside of the stair, and the inside of the stem walls.

We are getting very close to being ready for another long day of concrete pouring.
