The kitchen installation continues

The induction stove top (hob to the English readers) has been installed.  A hole had to be cut out of the granite after installation for this one (we think because the cooktop spans two pieces of granite), but I missed that event.  On the wall behind the cooktop, there are pencil lines that outline the position of the tile which will be installed in the kitchen.  They will be 12 x 24 inch tiles.

While they were cutting the hole for the induction cooktop, they also drilled holes in the granite for the kitchen sink faucets and gadgets.  The main faucet is in the middle with the treated water faucet on the right and the garbage disposal trigger on the left (the button on the left corner of the sink at counter height).

The granite top for the island is resting against the dining room wall waiting for the raised glass bar top.  The raised glass bar top has to be attached to the granite before the granite is installed.  Resting with the granite are also the two "wood" sides for the refrigerator and freezer.

In the ceiling, the light fixtures are getting their final housings.  Here are a number of them in the kitchen.  Also in the kitchen ceiling, we now have speakers (one is shown here)!  Peter spent Saturday installing the in-ceiling speakers for the house, including the deck speakers.  I will have to get more photographs......

and a close up of the final - all bright and shiny.

Considering that we have about 100 of these LED lights in our house some of which are in 20 foot ceilings, the electrician has lots to do!  Soon, we will have electricity pulled from the main pole and can get rid of our temporary power!
